Common sense education starts at home!

Empower your children to think outside the box, be self-sufficient, always learning and growing with our homeschooling curriculum.

A homeschool curriculum the whole family can learn together!

Homestead Science is an interactive homeschool curriculum that will introduce your child to small-scale farming. This one-of-a-kind homestead curriculum is designed for preschool through high school.

Homestead Science will give your child a better understanding of where their food comes from. This allows them to take ownership in providing food for the family, whether that’s understanding what they are choosing at the grocery store, helping you tend to the garden, or gathering eggs from your chickens.

This is a “No-Homestead Required” agriculture-based science with a focus on small-scale farming and self-sufficiency!

Creators of the one-of-a-kind Homestead Homeschool Curriculum!

Kody & Ron Hanner

We are Kody and Ron Hanner, and our homesteading journey began not just as a choice, but as a path to reclaiming health and a richer life. When Ron faced a serious health challenge, we dove headfirst into an all-natural lifestyle, quickly discovering the profound impact of connecting with our food sources and living intentionally. This transformative experience, from expanding our gardening and animal husbandry skills to building a thriving commercial homestead with products like our pasture-raised pork, has taught us invaluable lessons about resilience, self-sufficiency, and turning passion into purpose. We’ve walked the path many of you are on, understanding the joys and challenges of cultivating a sustainable, fulfilling life directly from the land.

Our passion extends beyond our own homestead; it’s about empowering you. Recognizing the need for practical, real-world knowledge in homesteading and homeschooling, Kody leveraged her deep agricultural background to create resources like Homestead Science and The Homestead Education Podcast. We’ve been where you are—seeking to provide the best for our families, grow our own food, and instill vital life skills in our children. Through our experiences, both in developing our homestead business and in educating our own kids, we’re dedicated to sharing actionable insights and inspiration that can help you cultivate your own thriving homestead and educate the next generation with confidence.
