What will this class include?

This isn’t your typical high school economics class. Homestead Economics dives into the real-world financial principles behind running a successful homestead. We cover everything from production planning and budgeting to mastering direct marketing and sales. Your student will learn applied math skills, analyze current events impacting local food systems, and develop a solid homestead business plan  – all with relatable examples and video lessons that bring the reading to life. 

This course meets 0.5 high school agriculture credit and will teach you the core topics of supply and demand, production costs, market structures, and more. Get ready to turn your passion for sustainable living into a viable business!
