Hi!
My name is Kody Hanner. I am a homesteader, homeschool mom, and have devoted my life to embracing rural life.
I created The Homestead Education to be able to teach kids homesteading, agriculture, self-sufficiency, and many other life skills with a homeschool curriculum they are actually excited to do every day!
My husband and I have a 40 acre homestead in North Idaho where we raise pigs, dairy cows, beef cows, and chickens. We actively include our kids in all areas of the management of the homestead.
Grew up on a ranch in rural California where she rode horses, worked cattle, trained dogs, and even learned how to guide hunts
Was a 4-H member for 9 years and now leads her kid’s groups
Has a Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture – Animal Science and two Associates Degrees in Business
Worked in commercial agriculture and as a private consultant after college
Host of the popular new podcast, The Homestead Education, and has been a podcast guest and speaker talking about raising self-sufficient kids.
