The best lemon oil degreaser to clean their home
Ok, how much do you dread cleaning the grease off your stove hood or other appliances? I know that for us living in the country, everything feels covered in greasy mud. Before I found this degreaser recipe, it seemed like no matter what commercial cleaner I tried; I needed to plan on a giant nasty mess to clean the grease up. I would spray the cleaner on and scrub it with hot water. The grease would just smear, never fully coming off and just getting everywhere.
When my husband was diagnosed with liver disease, we decided to switch to all-natural cleaning products. My first thought was that our house would never be officially clean again. My background in food safety and sanitation had me believing that everything had to be bleached. While at the same time, the millennial in me had me believing that everything needed to smell like chemical fragrance to be clean. Boy, was I in for a culture shock!

Learning about essential oils
I first learned about essential oils a couple of years after my husband’s diagnosis. It was so exciting to have a whole array of natural products for cleaning, health, and personal hygiene that was safe for my husband. He was probably not as excited as I was. But your skin is your largest and most absorbent organ, so keeping toxins off is important.
Lemon oil is an acid, so it is antibacterial, antifungal, and antibacterial. When mixed with isopropyl alcohol, it is a powerhouse degreaser that cuts right through lipid fats!
