Kid-Approved Homemade Potato Chips

When pursuing a homemade lifestyle, you often find yourself adjusting to a new way of eating. Which, let’s face it, that’s the goal. When it comes to snacks for kids that seem to have an insatiable appetite and only for certain things, we sometimes have a hard time filling that need for six of them! Homemade potato chips have turned into one of our favorite and most versatile go-tos.

There is a laundry list of reasons for choosing homemade potato chips as our favorite “unhealthy” snack. Firstly, potatoes are cheap, and we always have them on hand. We live 45 minutes away from the grocery store, so really, any spur-of-the-moment snacks don’t happen. Having potatoes on hand always helps. Second, the kids can help, and the older kids can do it by themselves. And lastly, their favorite is that they can choose their flavor! Sometimes, they all choose the same flavor, and sometimes they all flavor their own bowl.
